I under withheld in my regular full time job and owe alot in taxes…i have a part time home based business that i spent alot more on than i made, can i use deductions to offset the revenue as well as lower my gross income from my regular job? Does anyone have any good tips for a good money making home based business that can be started up with little or no cash investment? If you have something fresh I would appreciate hearing about it. I've heard all the old tired ones that have been around forever. Most want you to invest $ to get started so that's their home based business, getting other people to join. If there is a true can't miss system out there it seems like they would want to share it and have you pay as you reap the profits, in other words, no risk because if it doesn't do what they boast, you aren't out anything except time. PS…. no artsy stuff as I'm a single guy so not into gurly stuff.
I read that if you dont get a business license and you run an at home based business and your neighbors dont complain about your work, its unlikey the IRS will find out and make you pay a fee as well as put your business on hold until its done. Now, in the state of FL, if I chose to not get a license because the type of business (event planning) did not require one, would I still have to pay taxes?
I am 1 of the 2 partners in a home based business which currently is run out of my partner’s home. The business consumes space and also utilities. I am trying to come up with a fair rate for rent and a fair calculation for the use of utilities based on what is used for the business. Can someone suggest a guideline here?
I personally don’t feel that the company should be charge full fair market value for rent since I believe it’s a convenience to be able to work at home. Does anyone agree or am I way off here?
I am looking into setting up a home based Business as a part time thing. I have a day job and I would like to do this music endeavor on the side. I want this to be legitimate but I know I will be making very little money and writing off a lot in tax deductions. Does anyone have experience in with this type of scenario? Is there a reasonable expectation that IRS has around how much revenue needs to come in for how much you are writing off? I don't want the Business to appear fraudulent although I have more to gain from a tax deduction basis.
I've been writing off my home based business for the last few years. If I stop using that portion of my home solely for my business, how do I indicate that on my taxes?
Additionally, does anyone know of any resources that indicate what the implications are of stopping a home based business write-off?
I see lots of information on how/what to write-off for a home based business, but can't seem to find anything on what to do when that ends.
Let's say that I've calculated most of the 2003 year and have concluded that I didn't owe any taxes for 2003 and 2004 but instead am due a refund.
I'm working to get a good accountant but find that most don't know about tax shelters, estates, or any of the small business (home based) irs laws.
Please, this is serious. Don't respond if you don't have a quality answer for me.

I answered an ad on the internet the other day about a home based business come to find out it was herbal-life and they wanted me to pay 0 for some kit. If you are looking for more money in a business what makes them think that you have that kind of money to spend? So my question is who knows of a legit home business that I can do for a minimum start up fee?

It's free to join and you get a website along with markting materials and training. I have a lot of people who have goten involved to. I am looking to expand. Does anyone know the best place to find people that would be interested in having their own home business? What about people that have experience with this being interested? I appreciate your help.
