Executive Summary We design and deliver the systems, software and services that drive next-generation communications networks. Backed by Bell Labs research and development, we use our strengths in mobility, optical, access, data and voice networking technologies, as well as services, to create new revenue-generating opportunities for our customers, while enabling them to quickly deploy and better manage their networks. Our customer base includes communications service providers, governments and enterprises worldwide. We have three segments organized around the products and services we sell. The reportable segments are Integrated Network Solutions (“INS”), Mobility Solutions (“Mobility”) and Lucent Worldwide Services (“Services”). INS provides a broad range of software and wireline equipment related to voice networking (primarily consisting of switching products, which we sometimes refer to as convergence solutions, and voice messaging products), data and network management (primarily consisting of access and related data networking equipment and operating support software) and optical networking. Mobility provides software and wireless equipment to support radio access and core networks. Services provides deployment, maintenance, professional and managed services in support of both our product offerings as well as multi-vendor networks. Beginning in fiscal 2001, the global telecommunications market deteriorated, resulting from a decrease in the competitive local exchange carrier market and a significant reduction in capital spending by established service providers. This trend intensified during fiscal 2002 and continued into fiscal 2003. Reasons for the market deterioration included general economic slowdown, network overcapacity, customer bankruptcies, network build-out delays and limited availability of capital. We believe that the market for telecommunications equipment has stabilized and is starting to grow in certain areas. The growing demands of enterprises and consumers for additional services tailored to their needs is creating the need for a new convergence of networks, technologies and applications.

Founded in 1975, Microsoft is a billion company.

It is divided into three main business groups: operating systems, software products, and consumer products, which include games, Web browsers, and other home, personal, and educational products. With this exposure, Microsoft dominates in many markets. Nine out of ten personal computers run some version of the Microsoft Windows operating system. In addition, Microsoft has 90 percent of the office/spreadsheet/graphics software market. Its MSN Internet Explorer comprises more than 60 percent of the Web-browser market. And, because Microsoft bundles and interlocks its systems and programs, organizations with a network of computers are compelled to buy Microsoft products continually.

For my home based business. I am into network marketing.
And I have an easy and profitable home based business
that I am trying to promote. This company has over
500,000 members worldwide, and it has been around for
over 30 years. It is a software organization based in the
Netherlands, and it has a office in the US, right in New
York City. Very legitimate, and real. No scam reports online
anywhere about this business. Zero. Do you know of a good
website where I can get hundreds of people to join my business. I mean a REAL one, where people actually see
my ad. When I say FREE ADVERTISING, I mean not 1 red
penny. OK. Thank you. Please leave your answer below.
Please don’t play guessing games or
make assumptions. I want you to give
me real facts based on your own
personal experience. In other words,
are you in a home based business ?
And is there a website that you use to
get customers ? By the way, I need
some heavy hitters, too. Thank you.

I have recently been contracted to become a marketing arm for an unsecured debt elimination program that is not only legal and ethical but the system has been upheld by the Alabama Supreme Court. It’s very simple to do if you know how and my contractor is not divulging any of his proprietary secrets. My plan is to sell a membership to one person in every city in the US for their use as an exclusive territory. They will advertise locally at their own expense, or advertise on the many free ad sites on the Internet. The leads will call them, they will discuss the program, collect their paperwork and fees and FedEx the package to me. Once everything is in place we pay them a 25% commission (5-50 per sale) until they do 0,000 in Revenue. Then they’ll increase to 30% (5-00 per sale). Basically they do the legwork, we do the grunt work and they make an outstanding commission. So if they made 1 sale per week they would make over K per year, but if they make 3 sales a week, they’re now into a 6 figure income.

Membership fees are nominal, but they are population based. The cost for the membership will be 0 per 1M people according to the latest census. They can buy more than 1 territory. We will not advertise for customers or compete with them in their territories. Even though we are building a network of direct sales professionals this is NOT Network Marketing. This is NOT MLM in any way, shape or form and our system is only available in the USA.

There are basically 300 cities in the US that I want to sell a membership in. My question to the group is this; most of the online sources such as Craigslist, Backpage or Kijiji will only allow you to advertise for free in one city. Without actually taking out an expensive ad in 300 local newspapers around the country, what would be the fastest, easiest and least expensive way to get the word out to as many people as possible who may want to take advantage of this opportunity?

I have a website ready to go up, but I’m having a problem figuring out how to set up and acquire the squeeze page information into a database. I’ve talked with InfusionSoft about their CRM software, but it’s over k to start up, and 0 a month. That’s expensive for a start-up. Not to mention it kills my entire marketing budget.

Any suggestions for either problem would be very much appreciated?

I can be contacted at wealthrecoverynetwork@msn.com for more details or direct comments

Thanks for your help

Hello, I have a bachelors degree in Technology. I have drafting courses that I have taken while going to school. I haven’t been able to obtain a drafting job by taking these courses due to factors such as not having the job experience in this industry. I decided to broaden my skills by taking some comptia a+ and network+ classes this Spring and test for the certifications to have more marketable skills. I really had the love for drafting years ago when I started however I somewhat lost some of the desire of it. I really like the fact of being able to troubleshoot hardware and software problems on computers and believe that this can really help me obtain a competitive edge in today’s job market. My question is should I continue to pursue my drafting career in which I have taken quite of bit courses but not yet landed a job with or take the Comptia A+ and Network+ courses which I hear may give you a more advantage in the job market because of the demand of fixing and repairing computers.

Ok so check this network out… The budget is 0,000!

A main office with 240 desktops, thinking of going with thin clients to be cheap. 5 divisions — Marketing, Sales, Shipping/Receiving, Research, and Managers… 10 sales reps will be out of the office everyday

Then 3 satellite offices… 1 with 60 users, 1 with 100, and the last with 50. The first one has to be done with token ring and ethernet, 2nd with ethernet with linux and MS, and the third token ring and ethernet.

The main office will communicate with the other three and those three will communicate with each other as well. Each division has to have a dedicated file server and whatever other servers each one needs and each site has to have a dedicated server as well.

The Sales reps will need connections to communicate back to the main office. It will be a mix of 10/100 Mbps… and finally Video conferencing is going to be implemented later..

Now heres the question… I need to diagram the whole thing. Is there any free diagramming software or online diagram builders that I can use?

You are a working for a company that is composed of three departments: general support, marketing, and sales. General support occupies the first floor, while marketing and sales are on the second floor. General support has 28 workstations, marketing has 10 workstations, and sales has 30 workstations. Some applications require that data be transferred between departments, but generally each department has its own applications. Everyone needs access to the Internet, the company internal Internet (intranet), and e-mail. Design a local network solution for this company. Show the locations of all workstations and interconnecting devices, such as hubs, switches, bridges, and routers, if any are used.
Show also the connection to the outside phone service that provides Internet access. What type of local area network wiring would you recommend? What type of local area network topology and protocol would you recommend? Draw a floor plan for each floor. If possible, show both floor plans on one page.
Use the following assumptions:
1.Available hubs and switches have a maximum of 24 ports.
2.Some software applications are large data sets reside on departmental servers.
3.To support e-mail, a server is needed.
4.To support the company intranet, a server is needed.
5.The company does not have an unlimited budget but is willing to invest in quality technology.

UWB, ZigBee, mesh networking, software-defined radio, or smart antennas are some of the most popular wireless technologies on the market today. If you were developing a wireless infrastructure for a business site, which one would you choose? why?

I'm looking to rent/lease/buy poker software. Here's the plan:

I'd like to be able to have a poker network supply me with the tables.

I'll have my own online website, will do the marketing, bring customers in and the company that supplies the software charges me a percentage of the rake.

My profit would be the leftover rake after the company's deducted their profit. Since I'm only an affiliate, or a skin for this network, I'd assume they charge no money down, only the rake percentage as it is Poker (player vs. player, not house money as in a Casino) so there's no risk for the company. Does anybody know of anyone that can offer me this ?

I'm thinking of taking on solo indie projects, like helping people set up networks, servers, troubleshooting computers, making web sites, customing MS Office apps in VBA, writing 3-tier software, backend work. You name it–I can do it. Not to brag, but I am very good at it and people know it. As an aside, I'm bad at other things like dancing and chemistry. But I am a serious computer whiz.

Isn't there some way I can spread the word and start doing jobs for people, then finally hire other people to work for me?

Marketing seems to be the problem here. I might know computers, but I have no idea how to market. I've tried using friends/word of mouth, but it just seems like a dud. Any ideas?

I don't want a consulting job. While that seems like an obvious answer, I just don't want to depend on others like that. I want to get in the driver's seat here.

The 4 founders of this company stole the software and hardware designs from the government and built a company that eventually was worth 1.123 billion dollars. One of the founders name is Dennis Fairclough. Dose anyone know the story
The 4 founders were originally working for the government's ARPA net at a government contractor. They blackmailed their supervisor and walked out the door with 100 million dollars of government paid research on IP packet switching and DNS resolution software. There is a hidden story here that has never been told.
The original company first began to fail for lack of funding, then a big business man came and and bought it up. When this big business man found out about the theft he fired the remaining of the 4 founders. Novell is right, what was it called before Novell?
Novell Data Systems began life in 1979 as a computer manufacturer and maker of disk operating systems. In January 1983, Jack Messman and Safeguard Scientifics, a venture capital firm, reincorporated NDSI as Novell, Inc., source: http://www.novell.com/news/press/pressroom/history.html
