Is the company consumer choice marketing a scam? It sounds legit but they want 300 dollars to sign up, does anyone have any knowledge about this? Thanks
Pyramid Scheme Archives
They always seem to pop up during gas crises times.
Personally I like the green "beans" one.
What can the younger generations do to NEVER have to fall victim to the same scams that so many of the senior citizens have knowledge of?
Why isn’t the FBI cracking down on religions like they would crack down on any other pyramid scheme?
Religions typically say: you tell some people who’ll give us money for nothing, who tell some people who’ll give us money for nothing, ect, and the more people who know the religion because of you, the greater your own reward… pyramid scheme much?
@T-D: Look up what a pyramid scheme is, do some critical thinking, and try again.
Is that why Charles Taze Russell is buried under one?
The sort I’d find in the Fraudsters and Felons section

I can’t remember the name of that man who just got caught doing that massive pyramid scheme from a bunch of different companies. He made millions of dollars and was then sold out by his wife or something. I’m not sure if any of this is true or connected, that’s why I’m asking yahoo answers and not wikipedia.
Get 20 christian converts a week and we’ll send checks from heaven worth millions of heavenly currency. No international trade deficits in heaven makes the value of currency higher and much powerful than US Dollar.
Hear me out.
Existing members pay in money and time to their church.
Existing members have to recruit new members in order to sustain said church.
There is a promise of a great reward in the end for all who participate.
It’s only those toward the top of the pyramid who are actually getting rich off of it.
When the pyramid finally comes crashing down (death or disgrace of the pastors/other founding members), there will be nothing left for the players.
Sounds like the classic pyramid to me. What do you think?
~church’s stance on contraception
~sheer size of catholic/LDS famlies etc
it seems to me that the Gold Canyon Candle marketing system allows for downlines where you profit off-of when they make money for you. Isn’t this a pyramid scheme? I’ve seen other sites say you must sell to make money, but they over a increasing downline which looks like a pyarmid picture. help?
A company which doesn’t make bigger profits than the year ago quarter will lose stock value. All companies continually have to grow to maintain value. American consumers are constantly being given a larger line of credit with lower interest rates, even though many have no way of making the payments they are already commited to. When is it all going to collapse like some AMWAY scam, and what are you doing to prepare for it?
Please only answer if you have actual experience or know someone who does.
I didn’t even know they were illegal, but I got an offer to participate in one and decided to do some research to MAKE SURE IT WORKS.
Turns out its actually not even legal
So what happens to these people who start pyrimad schemes and get busted? Do you know any?
I want to discourage people I know from getting involved.
I don’t know what it was but during one 6 month period in my life I had several friends and a couple strangers trying to get me into these cult-like pyramid business schemes.
They will never tell you exactly what the business is about, but always want you to meet the person that got them in. Then they worship some dude that has millions because he got everyone else to buy into this crap. They are so aggressive about it you almost have to avoid them because thats all the talk about.
It honestly changed my opinions of my friends because I thought they were smarter then that. It hasn’t happened in a while. I’m so happy!!
Have you ever noticed how eerily similar the Church and Amway are? If you’ve ever been to a big Amway meeting, you’ll know what I mean – the inspirational music, the urges to get your friends involved, the constant pressure for commitment and money…Makes me think maybe the Church was the first successful Multi-Level Marketing scheme.
Can you help me explain to someone how pyramid schemes are bad? I know what they are, and someone I know is involved with it, but I want them to understand why it’s bad, because all they know is that they are making extra money and that it’s a good thing for them. I just don’t think they’ll believe me.
Thanks for any help.
They do not know they are involved in one. And I’ve been trying to figure out how to broach the subject.
I’d estimate they have -4 million in the bank after living frugally their whole lives. They have minimal expenses and earned their money honestly, through hard work. Why do they, now in retirement, now send me scam chain emails on "getting rich" and pyramid schemes?
Why are they trying to "hit it big" still in old age?
