Success University Archives

up to A levels, SATs etc. not counting university degrees.

A university degree is the key to success in American culture, yet many people (not all, of course) in our society distrust, discredit, dismiss the perspectives and opinions of those individuals who actually make a university education possible: THE PROFESSORS.

How come?

University degree,an average good job, Home of your own, family of your own if you want a family. please kindly help to answer, thank

the college I’m interested in has a moderate amount of university degree programs. It’s cheaper, and easier to get in, also, it features paid co-op terms which is really easier to get in as opposed to university paid co-ops terms (like how you must acquire precise measurements to their expectations). and colleges are usually 30% practical and 70% theoretical, i would say that when i finish college, i would have twice the success rate as any university student because of my experience of work and high grades (one thing that it’s a bit easier than university and I’m a very hard worker) earning myself a place in the honours. So is this good? BUT, I HAVE A PROBLEM, lol. I’m asian, and my parents are fierce about the subject of ‘college’ as oppose to university.

Some stupid College Success class for one credit that we had to take started mid term, and I did not know when it started. Therefore, I missed 1-2 classes. The woman gave me a D. That class screwed up my GPA. If I transfered to four year institute, will they still concider still accepting me since I got that D? It was a dumb one credit class that shouldn’t even be concidered a class…Ugh.

I’m a university student and applied to some part-time jobs for the summer. I’m a bit discouraged, because I was rejected to two competitive/prestigious jobs at a federal courthouse and law firm. I also applied online to two cashier jobs that I saw through an online advertisement, but nobody even responded to my email. I applied to one more job through a flyer and I interviewed, and I still haven’t heard back. I’m getting really discouraged, and tbh it’s pretty discouraging.

I’m planning on going to graduate school so I hope I can avoid this from now until I finish…

To make your essay completely stand out from the rest, please supply necessary element to make the essay process a success.

I’m getting my GED right now and have already checked with the admissions office and they will accept me with high enough scores, but I just wanted to hear some success stories. Just for motivation…

This summer i graduate from University, I have two choices with life; Go to law school, or hopefully i can become a writer.
I really want to be a writer.
I want to write screenplays all my life=) How hard is it to get an interview with a studio after I finish writing a screenplay. I don’t really care to get an agent right off the bat.

Is it likely that i can succeed in being a writer? Do you know anyone that is a writer and is successful in doing so?

There is only one thing important and that is the encouragement. This is life, and it may happen to anyone of us that the circumstances become big obstacle in the way of achieving a goal. Its heart, sometimes needs someone, not for whole life but until the time length required to achieve the goal. An alone person may lose the right way but if someone can hold your heart for a while…. it strengthens and adds energy which leads to success.

Before I begin, I’m not one of those nerdy fagots with psychopathic tendencies. I am however, pretty smart, hard working, and a decent person :) I currently attend Stuyvesant High School in NYC and my average is only 94.6ish. I extracurricular such as service clubs and I volunteered at places, and will begin volunteering at a hospital soon. I am a sophomore and I try my best in school. I want to get into Columbia because my parents brought me here to succeed, I KNOW that getting into an Ivy League DOES NOT guarantee success, however, I don’t want to make my parents feel like they wasted their lives raising me for nothing. Its really more about making them happy and bringing meaning to the sacrifices they have made than it is about myself. I just want to know what I can do to get into Columbia. Thank you everyone for reading this and answering my question (even if it is a sarcastic answer or a rude insult I still appreciate it). :)

can you transfer during your first year? What are the success rate..what are the colleges intake on transfers.

Dec 21st I will be celebrating being cancer free for 11 years. I endured advanced cancer, 2 stem cell aumuous transplants and 2 rounds of high dose chemotherapy in an isolated room at North 5 Indiana University Hospital and just happy to be here thanks to the Good Lord.
How can someone give a thumbs down to these answers is beyond me.
Angelcakes I will pray that you have a full recovery and healing. Keep your faith strong and everything will be alright for you.

While normally a good student, I somehow managed to earn less than a 1.0 GPA this term. I was actually shocked at this but I feel I may have good reasons (I was not partying or "made bad decisions"). However, I was told that most appeals are not granted.

The next semester is my last at my university before I graduate… What is the possibility they’ll give me a second chance? I think I already know the answer; the people in charge of my school are jerks… :/

Thanks in advance.

Im in grade 11 and way ahead of everyone my age in life. I want to go to queens university, get into business, make lots of money.

I have a wonderful boyfriend that i would like to last forever.

Tecos is running out of money. Now they are planning to move to Tijuana and hope they would get better success there. Now they got Carlos Adrian Morales on there team. Brother of Ramon Morales, though they don’t have the same charateristics and Ramon is better. What do you think about the problems that Tecos has?
I heard this on RAZA Deportiva.

I took two semesters off and during one i attended a community college. I did a whole lot better than I had been doing at SLU but still not great. (2.8) I’ve finally decided to quit persuing the money making degree everyone thinks I should be in to study what I enjoy and what ultimately makes me happy although some would say it’s not a guaranted success. Any tips or suggestions?

I am entering my last year of community college and have been seriously looking at what I need to accomplish in this next year in order to become a better candidate for university acceptance. I’ve been thinking a lot about Letters of Recommendation and how to obtain them.

I am a Computer Science major who hasn’t really been involved with much inside my school walls (other than my classes). I never really made friends with any professors (just showed up, and did my work). So how do I get letters of recommendation? Should these letters be from people within my degree department (ie. computers/science)? The only instructors I’ve built a repoir with have been my French and Student Success instructors, would that work?

Should I consider some sort of volunteer work within the community (maybe volunteer at a senior center teaching computers or something) and ask administrators there?
Lastly, does the position or the person writing the letter have any bearing or weight (like, if I got my neighbor to write one vs. maybe a government official or a higher up at my school)?

Thanks for the help!

Is this program really as good as it sounds in the brochure? It talks about a great faculty influenced by London’s St. Martins school and great internships, etc. Do you think I will have better chances to adquire the skills that will bring me success in the fashion business and get a job if I atend a school such as Parsons or FIT?

Hi. I was wondering what kinds of jobs students can get if they major in Film and Media studies in a university.

A chinese who does not speak english comes to america to better himself. He came without money. How is it that he can go to a nice University and become a CPA. An american born in america in the poverty stricken projects, how is it that he can not overcome his situation and become an CPA?

(online), I have applied to University of Memphis to complete a Bachelor’s degree in international business or marketing. I am having second thoughts about my path now. Should I continue with a Bachelor’s in Information Technology or a more specific business fields? Shall I attend traditional campus or continue online? I have done it before, it’s great, but time consuming. For business traditional campus seems like a great idea. But if I continue with IT, then what better place to get the degree than online, where you are forced to deal with more software and the internet? The IT field is growing so fast and there are so many high paying jobs and new fields, but business has a proven success record with hard work. Hard work will, of course, always be necessary. But what field and end to a means is the most noteworthy and reasonable? Give me your opinion.
