The representatives (priests), the not-having-to-pay-taxes-yet-asking-for-m… and false hopes of "you can be like me"…

Nope, mostly because pyramid schemes involve investing in something with cash and then having others pay you part of their investment when they join, purchase goods, etc. All the money goes to the top and stays there in religion.

Don’t overgeneralize. Do you know about all religions? Do you know how they are all structured? If you did, you would not be asking this question.
