Is Tru Noni Juice a scam?
My neighbor has been selling our family Tahitian Noni juice for the past year and it’s very expensive. I have read that it is a scam, yet I have also read other sites that tell of the many health benefits the people from the South Pacific Islands have experienced over the past 2,000 years. I came across tru noni juice from Hawaii and I wanted to know if anyone else has had a good experience with their Noni juice

Well, Noni itself a fruit, not a scam, but it’s most commonly called a scam because of online ads for it and the "free trials" (which are hardly ever free since they have to get you to pay for it somehow). Unfortunately, Noni is one of a few high powered antioxidants that are fads right now and when there is a fad, there are always people and companies that take advantage of that popularity and sell their own piece of it. The unfortunate part is that too many of those people/companies make baseless claims in order to sell their product faster and for higher prices.
Regardless, Noni is Noni no matter which company sells it as long as that company is legit and has good quality… from what I’ve heard, Tru Noni is a legit company, but pricey as you mentioned. In general, it is a fantastic antioxidant, but that’s about it.
You can get Noni from any health food store (GNC, Whole Foods, etc) and many other places cheaper than Tru Noni, but I would stay away from online ads for it unless you know the company is legit
It’s best to get a product like this from a company that you know and/or trust. If you’d like, I can also point out a few companies out there if you can’t find any in your local area. Good luck and I hope I helped!
Yes, it’s easy to see how some people can come to the conclusion that Noni juice is a scam. There are web sites that focus on reporting on how Tahitian Noni Internationals distributors spread false information about the effects of what their blended product can really do. (see noni.worldwidewarning.net)
But, not all Noni products can be put in the same category as TNI for the simple reason is that it has been used for many centuries by the isolated people of the south Pacific Islands. Is Noni a placebo effect? Could be, but even the pharmaceutical industry is experiencing the placebo effect is getting stronger, many widely distributed drugs would have had a hard time getting approval to begin with, if they were tested against today’s placebo effect. Many drugs, notably Prozac, have also been shown to falter when compared to placebo – after they’re already on the market.
Tru Noni is 100% pure Noni juice and has a matter of logic, a person would have to conclude that based on centuries of use and the clinical studies over the past 50 years, there is something that can be said about the effectiveness Noni has to offer in the human body.
If you separate the money motive of the Tahitian Noni (MLM) distributor who will say just about anything to sell a bottle from companies like Tru Noni juice who sell just the pure stuff, you will come to the same conclusion I made, and that is they are the real deal.
Noni juice is what’s called a liquid nutritional. It is not a scam but is sometimes presented in a scam-like manner by marketers who inflate it’s benefits. Noni juice does have recognized health benefits and it also has potential side effects or drug interactions. A person considering Noni as a liquid nutritional should buy from a reputable company and realize that, if that company is MLM (multi-level) it costs more than it will if that is not the structure from which it is being sold.
unfortunately, all the "super" juices out there that have been "recently discovered" are all scams (noni, acai, goji, mangosteen). all of these products are the result of great marketing campaigns and buzz-words like "superfruit".
There is little scientific evidence to suggest that noni is more healthful for people than other fruits. According to Dr. David Katz (M.D., M.P.H.), director of the Yale University prevention research center, "The research on noni is very preliminary, and are all findings one would see with most of the less exotic fruit juices as well." In other words, save your money and just drink orange juice : )
Men’s Health (Sept. 2009) did a report on "superfruit" juices you might want to read…

hope this helps : )
Noni is just another very healthy food.
No need to pay through the nose for it.
If you just want anti-oxidants, red wine, black coffee, berries, and dark chocolate all have very high amounts of them IIRC.
