I was invited as a consultant’s guest 2 nights ago. I’ve heard of Mary kay before but never really considered getting into it. It was that night that I learned about the incentives & the great opportunities. Part of me is the optimist that can see myself planning makeup parties & gathering potential clients, but the realist in me is so afraid of failure & possibly falling more financially than where I am now. Please help me decide whether to take a risk or to stay still.

I’m looking to do something on the side just for fun really. I live in a small town so we have alot of Mary Kay and Avon people already. What other kinds of makeup can you be an independent sales rep for?

I like Mary Kay makeup better than Avon. But Avon has some good stuff too. It seems as far as selling goes, Mary Kay has more terms and conditions for its sellers. I’m not sure I could keep up with all that. But there are tons of Avon reps in my area so I don’t really know who to sell to. Which one is easier to sell?

I love the makeup but I don’t know how to get it anymore. I moved to a new city and i need a new Mary Kay lady!!

I just found an online based business called Melaleuca. They sell environmentally safe household products, makeup, vitamins and other things. According to the representative, it's an easy way to earn money and there aren't any cold calls to make. Has anyone ever done this before? Any luck?
